One of the most cherished lines of the Phi Mu Creed is the call "to lend to those less fortunate a helping hand." During our collegiate years, we actively lived this value through our philanthropy efforts, from organizing fundraising events for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to participating in service projects on campus and in our communities. But just because we’ve graduated doesn’t mean our commitment to service has to end.

As alumnae, we have the opportunity—and the responsibility—to continue living out Phi Mu’s mission of service in our post-college lives. If you’re a member of (or looking to start) an alumnae chapter, make service a central part of your chapter’s mission. Whether it’s organizing a quarterly service project, participating in local philanthropy events, or simply hosting a holiday toy drive, there are so many ways to incorporate service into your alumnae chapter’s activities.
